Sexual Harassment Prevention:
The Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 is a legislative act that seeks to protect, prevent and redress the complaints of women from sexual harassment at their workplace. This will contribute to realization of their rights and gender equality along with sense of security resulting in economic development.
This act covers students in schools and colleges where authorities set up grievance committee to investigate the complaints. under this act, the following committee members can be contacted in case of any incident of sexual harassment in the college campus.

Women Development Cell Activities
" Women Day Celebration 7th March,2026 "
The women cell of Government Degree College Panarsa celebrated International Women’s Day on 7th March with great enthusiasm and active participation from students and faculty members. The event was organized to spread awareness about women’s rights, equality, and social responsibility.
Distinguished speakers from the fields of law, police services, and the Brahma Kumari Institute delivered enlightening lectures. They spoke about women’s rights, legal awareness, personal safety, domestic violence and the importance of inner strength and self-empowerment. Their talks motivated students to become aware, confident, and responsible citizens.
The event also included vibrant cultural presentations including thoughtful poems and songs, celebrating the strength and resilience of women.
The celebration witnessed enthusiastic participation from the college community and created an inspiring atmosphere on campus. Overall, the program proved to be a meaningful and successful event that reinforced the importance of respecting and empowering women in all spheres of life. The program was graced by the presence of the Principal, Dr Ursem Lata, along with the entire teaching faculty of the college. Their presence added significance and encouragement to the occasion.
" Lecture on Meditation, Sprituality & menance of Drugs 15th Nov,2025 "
Around 100 students of the college attended a lecture delivered by the representatives of Braham Kumari Sansthan, Balichowki. The session generated awareness regarding benefits of self healing through mediation and pledeged to avoid drugs in life.
" Lecture on personal hygiene on 19th July, 2025. "
A lecture on personal and menstrual hygiene was organised by Women Cell of the college to girl students. The information was imparted by Ms Sunita from Health Industry, Solan. Around 100 girl students were benefitted from the discussion.
