GC Panarsa Holds Faculty Development Programme on Life Skills
Panarsa, July 4: The Mental Health and Counselling Cell of Government College
Panarsa organised an activity-based interactive lecture on Life Skills for its
faculty members on Saturday. The programme witnessed the active participation of
all faculty members, making the session highly engaging and productive.
The lecture was delivered by Dr. Satyavrat Vaidya, Nodal Head, ATF, Bhuntar, who
highlighted the importance of life skills in understanding students' diverse
learning needs and creating a more inclusive and supportive classroom
environment. He emphasised that teachers should strive to understand both slow
and advanced learners and adopt innovative teaching approaches that cater to
their individual needs.
Through a series of interactive activities, Dr. Vaidya encouraged participants to
think beyond conventional methods and step out of their comfort zones. He
stressed that teachers should also motivate students to overcome their
inhibitions, develop confidence and acquire essential life skills that enable
them to learn in a more productive, positive and friendly atmosphere.
The programme concluded with an interactive discussion. Principal Dr. Ursem Lata
expressed her sincere gratitude to Dr. Satyavrat Vaidya for conducting the
insightful and enriching session. She appreciated his practical approach and
emphasised that such programmes play a significant role in enhancing teachers'
professional competence and strengthening student well-being. The faculty
members also appreciated the interactive and thought-provoking nature of the
programme.
